Traffic Police Officer of Novi Sad PD
During the intervention of the Novi Sad police at a gas station "Minute" in Novi Sad, one of the robbers fired a shot at a police officer Vladimir G. (1978) and caused him serious bodily harm, to which Vladimir suffered. Officers returned fire and wounded two other thugs, who were slightly injured, while the others were arrested and brought to official premises after a brief escape, where they were ordered held. In total, eight people were arrested.
One person from Valjevo has been charged with reasonable suspicion that he committed the criminal offenses of aggravated murder, criminal association, robbery, illicit possession of weapons and explosive materials and forging a document. The criminal complaint also included other perpetrators on suspicion of committing six criminal offenses: criminal association, robbery, two criminal offenses of illicit possession of weapons and explosive materials, two obstructions by authorized officials in the conduct of security or maintenance of law and order, and one criminal offense of forgery of documents and unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs. One of these individuals are also charged with aggravated murder in aiding and abetting, and one for robbery in aiding and abetting.

He was killed while riding a motorcycle on Avala Road on August 21, 1986 in Belgrade.
Nikola Grandic, like his son Vladimir, was 31 years old when he lost his life in the line of duty.
