My love are emergency services vehicles. For me, these include (although they vary from country to country): Police, Sheriff, Ambulance, Fire Department and Community Police vehicles.

You can find the story about the Opel Vivaro on the page Ambulance Vehicles - 194.

My Parrots

I have 4 parrots. Boris - Zucko, Jaksa, Ariel - Pumpkin and Senor Blue.

Mihajlo 2014-2022.

I bought him in 2014 after the floods. He was an Australian singing parrot. He didn't have the ability to speak, but that's why he was chirping beautifully - at least that's what the girl told me at the pet shop. He was named after my cousin's friend from Croatia. I had him for 7.5 years. At that time, I had another parrot - Boris II. The two of them were very quiet. I remembered that girl from the pet shop and I thought - what happened with what she said - he chirps and sings beautifully. It was like that until I bought other parrots, and then I was convinced that he had really nice sounds.

iva-and-jaksa

Iva and Jaksa having fun.

We moved several times. He had various friends during his life.

On January 15, 2022, I stepped on him with my slipper - the whole length. In less than a minute he was dead. I screamed from the bottom of my heels. Or was it a scream - a roar. Someone knocked on my door. The woman who recently moved next to me. We didn't know each other. She was in shock - what happened? Who is Mihajlo? I'm on the floor - I want to cry out in agony. It's the time of the corona virus, she thought someone close to me had died.

And he was.

We became friends. Now I have another "good" friend.

He didn't fly away - like some. He didn't die - like some. I killed him.

TV Shows That I Like to Watch

1. Some of the TV series I might watch again

How did the series I watched affect me?

soz-YouTube

Screenshot/Youtube - SOZ Tv Show.

  1. Homocide - Life on the Street = I have no comment.
  2. Rookie Blue = I have all the seasons on DVD.
  3. Blue Bloods = changed my life, my outlook on things, it made me constantly think and question everyday things in life. Fantastic TV series.
  4. Third Watch = I have no comment.
  5. Chicago PD = no matter what happened, what it means to forgive and why you should forgive (of course only if you love it). It's hard. But somehow in the depths of your soul you find a way.
  6. 19-2 = what is a Social Worker? What is social service? And how nice that job is (actually painstaking).
  7. Chicago Fire = breathtaking. Brings a smile (from ear to ear) on my face. It makes me laugh to tears.
  8. Grey's Anatomy = the best medical series of all time. She taught me many things, made me laugh to tears, made me cry several times, I learned what medical workers are and their different jobs - each significant in its own way. One, among many others that I can't remember now, is the sentence - what would your day be like if you knew it was your last day on earth? (My motivational sentence from 2015).
  9. Suits = what is right? What is a court? What is the law? And how they are also nice jobs 😁 if you love them.
  10. The Good Wife = how good government jobs are, what it's like to be a lawyer and what it means to be a mediator. How difficult it is to be all this and most of all a mediator.
  11. Brothers & Sisters = I have no comment.
  12. The O.C. = how people of different religions can get along well; what is a public defender and what kind of job is it; how people of different social status live and work.
  13. Little Mosque on the Praire = different religions presented in a comical way.
  14. Due South = I have no comment.
  15. One Tree Hill = I have no comment.
  16. Homeland = the same as for Teskilat, only in the American way.
  17. The Secret Life of the American Teenager = I have no comment.
  18. Heartland = I have no comment.
  19. Cops = I have no comment.
  20. The First 48h = I have no comment.
  21. SOZ = how to respect your country and flag, without having to love it and without having to hate it.
  22. Teskilat = the risk and consequences of the work of one who works for his country. And what impact it has on their families.

1. The Minuette - Food Recipes

Collecting recipes and cooking

When I got fed up with too much salty and sweet food, as well as pies dripping with oil, I started cooking. If the recipe for a sweet cake called for 400g of sugar, I would put 200.
As for the recipes themselves, they have been collected for years by my mother, from old, yellowed food magazines, printed, now already in another country.
As my curiosity grew and I didn't know what certain words meant, I spent more and more time on Google. Mainly foreign websites, from various American universities, from other blogs, portals and elsewhere, some local - in Croatian, Bosnian or whatever language.

Blog I like - From Pomoravka's Kitchen

In Zoka's kitchen, you can find recipes in the following categories: breakfast (400) bread (166) liqueur (54) pie (71) appetizer (230) side dish (146) lunch (600) small cakes (54) savory (41) savory pastry (131) sweet (188) sweet pastry (148) ) Soup/stew (81) cake (45) dinner (150) vegetarian (167) winter stores (77)

Cooking with Zoki

I remember once I came across a recipe, dag there dag here. Eh, I understand what it is, somehow. And then - sour cream. What? So what is that now? At that time, I did not use Google Translate. I googled and found nothing. I continue without taking the recipe. When one day, I come across a forum, someone asks what single cream is. I read further, when it says - sour cream = single cream (a name for the same thing in two languages). It's too late now. Where do I know, where did I see that recipe.

2. School of Tutorials

Searching for pieces of code that work

I renewed the material that I learned on various courses. For what I had neither money nor time, I searched on Google. Click by click, day by day, night by night. How can I do this in Photoshop, Notepad, Xampp, Wamp, Gimp and similar. And all that, if I ever need it again. And yes, many times.

school-of-tutorials

I spent most of the time trying examples that are really well explained, but they don't work for me. Sometimes something, some small part of the code - works. Write-erase.

There is no clearly limited time for which I can tell someone that I will find some element on the website - that it does what it needs to do. Maybe I'll find it, maybe I won't. Maybe I'll find it in 2 days, maybe in 3 hours (if you look at the clock), and it can take several weeks or even months. It depends when I have the will and desire to look for something. How much do I really need or is it time to look for another solution.

4. The Minuette - Problem Solution

The Minuette - Food Recipes

As a tenant, as a non-schneider, as not a craftsman for this or that, and similar, how can I furnish and make what I want or need for a little money or with what I already have in the house.

My first, more demanding challenge is how to rearrange the kitchen hanging elements? Along with some articles that I read and YouTube videos that I watched and came up with on my own along the way, I made something for myself.

Penalty for crossing the street outside of the zebra crossing

I knew that, even if I knew someone (as I didn't) in the police, they wouldn't tell me what I was interested in. Also, I didn't get a fine for crossing outside the pedestrian crossing, which I really wanted, back then, more than 15 years ago.

I still want it.

Here where I live, I would rather get hit by a car than get a ticket. I even asked them what the price was and what was the deadline for payment. And I calculated that I could afford it because I am not a driver nor will I ever be. I knew that.

What I didn't know was that I would never be able to persuade them to write it for me. I tried several times, in different places in the city, but nothing. These are such excuses that they are ridiculous.

At least I had a good laugh.

Considering my current life circumstances, I am not in a position to test the will of a policeman to write me a ticket again. But I hope that, when the conditions for that are met, I will gladly, kick that Someone, so that I can see if they will write me a fine.

Even though I found out that apart from the payment slip for the amount of the fine, I don't have anything else for a memory and a long memory, I still want it.
