Here are pictures of several responses during 2008 that are not otherwise in a gallery of their own.

HOUSE FIRE 1/19/2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to a fully involved structure fire on January 19th, 2008 around 9:25 p.m. The house and contents were a total loss. Responding apparatus included Pumpers 1 & 2, Rescue 1, Tankers 5 & 6.

JIMSON MFG FIRE 3/31/2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire at Jimson Mfg. at approximately 5:20 p.m. on Monday March 31st. Upon arrival Pumper 2 reported a fire in a saw dust bin and requested Ladder 1. Ladder 1 set up and the aerial master stream was used to put the fire out. 600 feet of 5" supply line was hand laid to a hydrant at the front of Jimson Mfg. Firefighters had the fire under control in less than one hour. Responding apparatus included Pumpers 1, 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Tanker 5 and Tanker 6.

MVA 4/07/2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this single vehicle accident with a reported fuel spill on Monday April 7th, 2008 around 1:45 p.m. The driver of this older model Chevrolet truck received scrapes and scratches but was otherwise uninjured and refused medical treatment. The driver stated that he swerved to miss a dog in the road and lost control. Responding Apparatus included Pumper 2 and Rescue 1.

HOUSE FIRE 8/04/2008

Haleyville, Pebble and Bear Creek Fire Departments responded to this house fire located on 15th Ave on august 4th, 2008 at approximately 9:40 a.m. Haleyville Police discovered heavy smoke coming from the house upon responding to an intrusion alarm at the residence and immediately requested the fire department. The fire was contained to the basement but the rest of the house received smoke and heat damage.

MVA 10/06/2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to a wreck with entrapment on Dime Road past Quarter Creek on Monday October 6th, 2008 around 4:00 p.m. The driver of the truck lost control of his vehicle, left the road and came to rest with the vehicle on its side against a tree. The driver sustained head injuries and had to be cut out of the truck. Once extricated the driver was placed into an ambulance and taken to the Quarter Creek swimming area where he was loaded into an Air-Evac helicopter and flown to Huntsville Hospital. Responding units and agencies included Pumper 3, Haleyville Police, Regional Paramedical Services, Air-Evac Lifeteam and Alabama State Troopers.

HALLOWEEN 2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue provided a safe location for "trick-or-treaters" to receive treats on Halloween night 2008.

Christmas by the Lake 2008

Haleyville Fire/Rescue along with numerous churches and civic organizations have spent countless hours decorating the Haleyville City Lake with Christmas scenery. Christmas by the Lake is open nightly through Christmas from dark until 9:00 p.m. Santa Claus will be at the lake nightly. Refreshments are available also. Please come and visit Haleyville Fire/Rescue at Christmas by the Lake.
