Here are pictures of several responses during 2007 that are not otherwise in a gallery of their own.

HOUSE FIRE 1/13/2007

Mobile Home fire on January 13th, 2007 resulted in total loss of the structure and 1 minor injury of the resident.

MVA 1/19/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to a single vehicle accident on Friday January 19th, 2007 just after 4:15 p.m. The truck struck a retaining wall on the side of the road and flipped onto the drivers side. Both the driver and passenger were trapped inside the vehicle with extrication taking approximately 30 minutes. Both occupants were transported by RPS ambulance to Lakeland Community Hospital with the female passenger later being flown by Air-Evac to University Hospital in Birmingham. Responding agencies and apparatus included Pumper 3 and Rescue 1, Haleyville Police, Alabama State Troopers and RPS Medic 206.

HOUSE FIRE 3/03/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this house fire located off Mize Loop on Saturday March 3rd around 8:45 a.m. Upon arrival the house had already collapsed and had possibly been burning for several hours before being detected. The house and contents were a total loss. Responding Apparatus included Pumper 2, Rescue 1, Tanker 4 and Tanker 6 as well as mutual aid from Delmar Fire Department with a Tanker and manpower.

VOLUNTEER SCHOOL TRAINING EVOLUTIONS 2007

These 16 firefighters from 10 local departments learned to lean on each other and work together in teams in various training drills and live fire exercises during the 160 hours of classwork it takes to recieve certification with the Alabama Fire College and Proboard as Certified Volunteer Firefighter, Medical First Responder and Haz-Mat A & O. All 16 students successfully passed the state certification exams. Congratulations class!!!!!!

MVA 3/06/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this single vehicle accident on Tuesday March 6th, 2007 around 10:15 a.m. The driver of the vehicle was extricated and placed in "C-spine Precautions" and transported by Air-Evac to UAB hospital in Birmingham.

HOUSE FIRE 3/17/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this fully involved structure fire on March 17th, 2007. The house was located between Hwy 195 and 30th street. The house was a total loss.

HOUSE FIRE 3/24/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue was dispatched to a reported structure fire on 30th street at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Saturday March 24th. Upon arrival Pumper 2 reported 2 structures on fire and requested mutual aid from Pebble Fire/Rescue. Ladder 1 laid a 5" supply line from a hydrant near the intersection of 30th St and Hwy 195 to pumper 2. Firefighters made an interior attack and quickly extinguished the fire in house #1. The 2nd fire was actually a storage building behind a neighboring house. The owner of both houses also had another house to burn a week prior a few blocks down the street. Later that night there was also a woods fire across the street from the 2 houses. Responding apparatus and agencies included Pumper 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Pebble Pumper and Tanker, Regional Paramedics, HPD and the Alabama State Fire Marshal's office.

MVA 4/23/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this two vehicle accident on Monday April 23rd, 2007 around 4:40 p.m. The drivers of both vehicles sustained non life threatening injuries. The driver of the buick was trapped upside down by her seatbelt and extrication provided difficult due to the position of the vehicle. Responding units and agencies included Pumper 3, Rescue 1, HPD, RPS medic 204,205 and Supervisor 201. Air-Evac was doing a flying standby but was cancelled enroute.

MVA 4/24/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this one vehicle accident on Tuesday April 24th, 2007 around 12:45 p.m. on County Hwy 34 (Cherry Hill Road) The driver swerved to miss a dog and ran off the road striking a tree. The driver, a 31 year old female, was extricated and transported by ambulance to a landing zone where she was then transported by Air-Evac 16 to UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Responding units and agencies included Pumper 3, Rescue 1, HPD,Alabama State Troopers, Marion County Sheriff Department, RPS medic 203, Manager 200 and Air-Evac 16.

HOUSE FIRE 5/21/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this structure fire on Oak Dale Drive at approximately 10:33 a.m. on Monday May 21st.

HOUSE FIRE 5/29/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this structure fire on 16th Ave at approximately 5:09 p.m. on Tuesday May 29th. Initial reports were of a trapped occupant. Upon arrival firefighters were informed the resident was safely out of the house. The house recieved major damage but several personal items were saved from the house. Unfortunately a family pet was lost in the fire. Responding units and agencies included: Pumper 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Tanker 6, Haleyville Police, Regional Paramedical Services and Alabama Power.

Mutual Aid for Hamilton 7/14/2007

Haleyville Fire/Rescue including students from the 160 class responded to Jim's Country Mill Sausage Plant in Hamilton, AL on Saturday July 14th, 2007 around 11:35 a.m. Hamilton Fire/Rescue requested assistance from Haleyville Fire/Rescue as well as departments from Winfield, Hodges, Shottsville, Byrd, Shiloh and Bear Creek.
