In 2012 members of the Inmate Work Force completely renovated the neglected landscaping in front of the county's administration building. Their efforts included removal of old landscaping, building a terracing wall, spreading mulch, and planting shrubbery. The labor provided by these men saved the taxpayers of Amherst County thousands of dollars.
